i just got my hair highlighted yesterday, and was wondering if it was okay to wash my hair today. people told me it could fade the color, but i would use a color protectant shampoo %26amp; conditioner.

no the color wont fade a bit! dont listen to those other people. iwashed my hair the day i got it highlighted.

Wait atleast 24 hours before washing your hair and when you do wash it use a special color shampoo that helps keep some of it in.

You should use shampoo and conditionar that is good on colored hair I got my hair highlighted a moth or so ago and I wash my hair everyday and its still looks the same.

its probably fine to wash it by now. i was with one of my friends when she had her hair lighlighted and she washed it soon after and it didnt fade.

HAIRDRESSER HERE........YOU CAN SHAMPOO IT ANYTIME........HIGH LITES WILL NOT WASH OUT..... WHEN I DO HIGH LIGHTS......I ALWAYS SHAMPOO THE CUSTOMER AFTER WARDS........YOUR SAFE......YOU WOULD WANT TO WAIT A WEEK BEFORE DOING ANOTHER CHEMICAL SERVICE

Thats funny. I dyed my hair yesterday. I just washed it, with color protectant conditioner. I would wait at leat 24 hours. It may fade. If it does, next time you get your hair done, get it done a lighter color.
