I just wanted blonde streaks, not wide blonde streaks. The salon lady used a cap and pulled hair through, if I use a bought color of brown what would happen?

Go back to the stylist that did it and tell her to take some of the blonde out. Do not do it yourself!

I would go back to the Salon and get her to put in some lowlites. Call her and talk to her. I never had a problem if any of my clients wanted anything changed.

you might want to have them apply a toner and then low light the the areas that have too much blonde (the low-lighting should be done with foil)

Also, about buying color...don't do it unless you have colored your hair before...some of the chemicals in the brown colors can cause highlighted hair to turn green. You should go back and tell her you aren't satisfied and make them fix it! Remember THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!! THEY SHOULD DO THE JOB TO YOUR SATISFACTION!!!

as a retired hair dresser i recommend that you go back to the person who did your hair and tell her that you are not happy with the results and ask her to tone down the blonde. (if she pulled your hair thru a cap she gave you a frosting, and if you have as much blonde as you describe, she did a heavy frosting at that).

if you decide to do it on your own, go to a professional beauty supply store and use professional coloring. now remember your hair has already been bleached so use a color swatch and decide which color you want and then go a shade lighter.
