How long does highlights last? (For your hair)?

They say every 12 weeks. I guess it depends how many you have and how it blends with your natural hair. I can sometimes leave mine go 4-5 months. (I do red in brown hair)

You'll want to touch up every two months so you can't see the roots

About 3 1/2 months before the roots start to show

My roots usually show after about 4 weeks. The highlights will last longer and not fade if you use a shampoo especially for color treated hair. I really like Aveda that you can get in salons.

High light will grow with your hair so if your hair grown fast then you will need to get them done every 4-6 weeks espeshally if your hair is short if its long to very long and your not changing the collor drasticly then 6-8 weeks

Usually about 6 weeks before they need to be touched up.

Highlights last until you cut them off. Whatever you do to your hair is always still there even if you color over it. Highlights will look fresh and wont need retouched for about 10-12 weeks. After that you will need to get your new growth re done.

When I high light my hair, I put Ardell Red Gold Corrector Plus in my shampoo from Sally's Beauty. It keeps them fresher longer and not turning brassy. If they are blended in and start to fade, I put in a light ASH blond dye and they come right back out. Put usually your stylist suggests every 4 months.
