I have long curly hair and im wanting to highlight it, the directions say to braid your hair and then apply the highlighting mixture. But i like to straighten my hair from time to time so will this effect still work good on straight hair too?

Both dying and straightening your hair is not a good idea. It has been a long time since I highlighted mine, but I sure did not have to braid my hair. What are the directions for short haired folks who can not braid it?
